Launching the smart remote control 'smalia series' as design partners
RATOC Systems, a leading domestic manufacturer specializing in digital lifestyle products, including PC peripherals, AV-related equipment, and IoT devices, recognized the importance of a thoughtful approach to presenting their innovative 'smalia' series centered around smart remote controls.
TAM, as a design partner, supported the series launch, working on branding aspects such as naming, logo design, app UI design, and website development in collaboration with RATOC Systems.

One of the key aspects of this product development was the usability of the smartphone app for controlling the smart remote control. While understanding the hardware components of the product, we conducted discussions with RATOC Systems on various aspects such as visual, functionality, and technical aspects, aiming to implement their desired features in the app. We translated this content into UI operations, making adjustments and connecting the design accordingly.
Branding as design partners
In the ever-evolving realm of IoT devices, marked by the constant emergence of new products, differentiation is just one piece of the puzzle. Equally important is conveying the brand's essence and forming authentic connections with consumers. In our collaborative journey with RATOC Systems, we engaged in discussions and extracted key themes, ultimately shaping the series name and logo design.
Drawing from the brand personality we developed during the creation of the logo and series concept, we guided our communication with users through 'Living with smalia.' We proposed visuals and videos to authentically convey the concept of a comfortable life with 'smalia.'
In our mission to convey a life of comfort with 'smalia' to users, we proposed visual and video elements and actively collaborated in creating the brand website. This collaborative synergy with RATOC Systems was pivotal in bringing the 'smalia' series to vibrant life.
