Find Your Yokohama (@findyouryokohama_japan), the official Instagram account of Yokohama City, is now in its ninth year of operation since it was first opened in 2016.
It is a "co-creation account" that is the number one in Japan, created together with the City of Yokohama, TAM, and Yokohama fans.
We have continued to post every day since the account was opened, and the number of followers has exceeded 100,000.
In order to continue to be a beloved account, we are not only continuing to post every day and to protect the concept that we have cherished since the account was first opened, but we are also actively taking on new initiatives in line with changes in trends.

Approximately 970,000 people view the daily posts on this account every month

The aim of this account is to get as many people as possible to feel the appeal of Yokohama, transcending language and cultural barriers, and to expand the connections with Yokohama fans.
The account has over 100,000 followers as of 2022, and is made up of people from a diverse range of 44 countries and regions.

Since the account was opened, we have continued to post in native English and Japanese every day without fail, and on average about 31,000 people view the posts each day, and in one month we have received likes and comments from a total of about 88,000 people.
It has now become a place where fans of Yokohama from all over the world gather.

Communicating in a new and attractive way with our ambassadors

In order to make more people aware of Yokohama, we are always working on new things, keeping up with Instagram trends.
In our "ambassador" program, which aims to make the account more exciting, the official ambassadors of our account are instagrammers who are taking photos of the attractions of Yokohama from their own perspectives and sharing them.

TAM is in charge of coordinating the selection of ambassadors and directing the filming.
In order to reach as many people as possible, we are focusing on the recent trend of vertical short videos (reels) as a way of communicating, and we are posting high-quality content that people can't help but watch from both the Yokohama City account and the ambassadors' own accounts.

For the Instagram Live special content, we plan themes that will appeal to fans based on our daily communication and research on Instagram.
In the "Find Your Yokohama Live Broadcast to Commemorate Reaching 100,000 Followers" event, we held a live broadcast where you could ask the ambassador, popular video creator "Zono-san" (@zono.sann), who has over 1 million followers, about how to take recommended videos.

In addition to the ambassadors, the fans of Yokohama are also an essential part of the account.
Yokohama is a city that makes you want to take photos, and it attracts many camera enthusiasts. Making the most of this characteristic, we have been expanding the circle of people who post about Yokohama using the official hashtag "#myyokohama", and in the seven years since we started with just one post, we have now reached over 360,000 posts. Now, people are even trying to appeal to the Yokohama City official account so that their posts will be seen first.
